An antimony melting plant was located in the once rich in vineyards Cocomero Valley, which in 1872 came to be replaced by a factory producing artificial soda.
Nowadays nothing remains of this industrial site but its name and the building with its great stacks has given way to a colony, where groups of vacationers come to stay each year.
